Chef Throwdown: Virtual Edition

The Chef Throwdown has gone virtual! Learn to cook from your People's Choice Vote Rella and The Saucey Chef, benefitting Open Door Mission.

Update:Throwdown Competition Chefs Margherita Smith of The Saucey Chef and Cruz Nieves of Rella will be competing in the Virtual Throwdown on September 1 at 6pm. Learn to make their incredible dishes and 100% of the proceeds goes directly to Open Door Mission.The DishesThe Saucey Chef dish: Macho Papi - tender beef tips, beef sausage and sauteed shrimp over signature friend rice with Yum Yum Sauce and Chili Oil.Rella dish: Chilled Seared Beef with Corn and Mushroom SalsaPrizeOne lucky ticket attendee will win dinner for a year to the winning restaurant (Rella or The Saucey Chef)! That is a $1200 ValueWhat to Eat Throwdown NightTicket holders have a unique opportunity to purchase the Throwdown meals from Rella and The Saucey Chef for the night of the event on September 1. Your ticket must be purchased by 8/31 and you must place your order for your meals by midnight on 8/31 to participate in meal purhase. This is not a requirement, but an option available to ticket holders on a night the restaurants are closed to the public. When you receive your e-ticket, shortly after you will receive an email with meal purchase instructions.Previous Event InformationRestaurant Week:Support local restaurants during the week of August 15-22. Each restaurant will have a featured dish on their menu using beef as their main ingredient. On August 23, vote for the People&#x27;s Choice Vote on @sipandsavourroc Instagram story for your favorite of the 5 dishes. Voters will be entered to win a $25 gift card to the participating restaurants (5 winners chosen). The top two winning restaurants will move on to the final round: Virtual Throwdown.Ticket Purchase:Purchase a ticket to the Virtual Throwdown (here) and learn to cook both dishes (Voted by you in the People&#x27;s Choice Vote), guided by the featured chefs! Stephanie, Sip and Savour Rochester, will be your host. Virtual Throwdown will take place on September 1, with an alternate date of September 2 (based on winning restaurants) at 6 pm - 7 pm.100% of the ticket proceeds will support Open Door Mission.One lucky Virtual Throwdown ticket winner will receive a year&#x27;s worth of food at the winning restaurant (Value of $1200)! Just make sure to purchase your ticket, attend the Virtual Throwdown and vote!Participators will receive their ticket link prior to the event in email.
