Summer Chef in Training Program for Children with Caregiver ages 7-11
***$20 a session or $50 for all three sessions, Classes are from 5:00pm-7:00pm
Please be sure you register for the sessions you plan to attend.
1st session: June 7th and 14th
2nd session: July 11th and 18th
3rd session: August: 1st and 8th
Interactive cooking class series for children ages 7-11 years old and their parents. Creating a meal together is a great way for the family to connect and spend time together! Cooking is a form of play and teaches children important life skills. Helping children learn to play in the kitchen, exploring various textures and temperatures as they measure and mix ingredients, is often the first step to eventually tasting new food. Each week there will be a theme and we will enjoy creating and tasting a healthy meal together. Cooking with children teaches valuable life skills such as, simple math skills, nutrition, following directions, measuring, sensory awareness, language skills, cultural awareness and most important it’s a way to bond with our children. Classes are held in the kitchen at the South Windsor Community Center, 150 Nevers Rd. * Please only 1 adult per child participant, thank you!
