Op 8 december is het Paarse Vrijdag, een actiedag die wordt georganiseerd vanuit de GSA (Gender and Sexuality Alliance) waarop aandacht wordt gevraagd voor seksuele- en genderidentiteit. Speciaal voor deze dag organiseert Vleeshal Queer Cheer, een silent disco in de tentoonstelling Freddie van Freddie Mercado. In het werk van Mercado wordt de fluïditeit tussen identiteit en gender gevierd en dit biedt de perfecte setting voor dit bijzondere feest.Met acts door Nina Ophelia, Bebe Books &amp; Susan from GrindrHet feest wordt georganiseerd in samenwerking met verschillende partners en wordt mede mogelijk gemaakt door de Krijger Zuiderwijkstichting.—On December 8 it is Purple Friday, an action day that is organized yearly by the GSA (Gender and Sexuality Alliance) to bring attention to sexual- and gender identity. Especially for this day, Vleeshal organizes Queer Cheer, a silent disco in the exhibition Freddie by Freddie Mercado.
