<h1>A﻿bout Chart Champ</h1><p>Chart Champ is an annual event that brings together the data analytics community. The centerpiece of the event is the Tableau Dashboard competition, and where the event gets its name. The winner, as selected by our panel of judges, is crowned that year's Chart Champ. ﻿</p><p>﻿﻿Over the years, Chart Champ has grown into more than a data visualization event. Attendees participate in technology presentations and workshops spanning the full spectrum of end-to-end analytics. Whether you're an analyst building amazing visualizations, or a data engineer doing ELT/ETL and cloud warehousing, Chart Champ has something for you. </p><h2>The Dashboard Competition</h2><p>Two of our past champions went on to become Tableau Visionaries. Do you have what it takes to be crowned the next Chart Champ? This year's contest will focus on Higher Education!</p><h3>Here's how to enter this year's competition: </h3><li>Register for the event</li><ul><li>Get the data: There are numerous data sources out there about higher education. We recommend checking out the BU Public Data Sets, the US Department of Education, or Kaggle!</li><li>Build &amp; Submit: You must build and submit your dashboard by September 22, 2023. </li><li>Dashboards should be published to Tableau Public and the link should be emailed to Dustin.Cabral@cleartelligence.com</li><li>NEW THIS YEAR: Five finalists are usually required to be in-person at the event. This year we will allow two remote-finalists to record their presentation. </li></ul><ul><li>Competitors should prepare a 5-minute presentation. The presentation is going to be quick, so time yourself when you are practicing! The presentation should be structured using the below categories: ​</li></ul><ul><li>What did you create?​</li><li>Who is the audience?​​</li><li>What is the goal?​</li></ul><h3>Judging &amp; Rules</h3><p>Dashboards will be judged on three key areas:</p><ul><li>Design (25%) – Make it look spiffy, people like looking at pretty things​</li><li>Functionality (25%) – Make it cool and functional, its Tableau​</li><li>Storytelling / Usability (50%) – The dashboard should tell a story and allow users to dive into the data!​​</li></ul><p><strong>Sound like a good time? We thought so!
