About this event

What better way to celebrate the Spring season than in an artful frame of mind with the Charlotte Art Collective’s Spring Show in the Dilworth/Freedom Park neighborhood. The show is on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 10 am to 4 pm in the spacious Family Life Center at 2821 Park Road. The event provides an enjoyable opportunity to explore both functional and decorative art, find special gifts for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, graduation, and other occasions – or even treat yourself to art that enriches your own life and home. Shop for unique one-of-a-kind handcrafted gifts in a relaxed atmosphere. Parking is ample and free.

This popular juried show includes a lively mix of established and emerging artists who work in a variety of media. You may find painting, printmaking, mixed media art, pottery/ceramic art, a wide variety of handcrafted jewelry, wood art, handmade books and papers, glass art, whimsical sculptures of all sizes, artisan chocolate and more. The show introduces new artists along with favorite ones returning, all chosen by a jury of fellow artists. Many of the artists are full-time professionals – some are represented in galleries, some teach and all stay busy working in their own studios. Many CAC members have received commissions, some have received awards in numerous art shows and some have sold their works to national and international collectors. The group has successfully produced shows in the Dilworth area for more than 20 years.

As a continuing tradition, the show supports the community through the giveaway of two baskets of participating artists’ work. This Spring proceeds will go to the Avondale Church Youth Group to help further their mission efforts. Since 2014 over $10,600 has been raised for area charitable causes.

Numerous show visitors have commented that the show is one of the best high-end art and craft shows around and it’s not to be missed. Learn more about the group on its website at charlotteartcollective.org and @charlotteartcollective on Facebook and Instagram.
