This is a fundraising event by St Lucia Diabetes Project (UK), to raise funds for for its work on diabetes awareness, prevention and management , and training of medical staff in Diabetes.

All funds raised from the event will go towards organising diabetes awareness workshops in local communities and the next biennial visit to St Lucia by diabetes specialists from the UK to undertake training of doctors and nurses in lower limb care, and teachers so they are better able to supports students with diabetes.
