Charging Up at Work

Forth is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing equitable access to electric transportation. Our mission is to electrify transportation by bringing people together to create solutions that reduce pollution and barriers to access. We believe that centering the needs of those with the greatest barriers produces better outcomes for all.

Providing access to electric car charging is a cheap and easy way for employers to attract and retain quality employees while showing their commitment to advanced clean technologies. Being able to charge at work has a huge impact on electric vehicle sales, too: employees who can charge at work are 20 times more likely to buy an electric vehicle. The<A HREF="https://energy.gov/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> United States Department of Energy</A> managed a voluntary <A HREF="https://energy.gov/eere/vehicles/workplace-charging" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Workplace Charging Challenge</A> from 2013-2016, during which Forth was the nation’s most effective recruiter.  
 
Guest speaker Stephanie Janczak, Manager of Sustainability and Vehicle Environmental Matters at Ford, will share Ford’s experience with their Workplace Charging Network including charging data analytics and survey results. She will highlight how workplace charging benefits businesses and strategies for making charging at work hassle-free. Zach Henkin, Deputy Director at Forth, will discuss the new Oregon legislation that gives more negotiating power to companies renting office space as well as what’s next now that the USDOE program has ended.

<A HREF="https://www.linkedin.com/in/stephanie-janczak-0007253/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><IMG STYLE="float: left; margin: 7px 10px;" ALT="" SRC="https://cdn.evbuc.com/eventlogos/28969641/image008.jpg" WIDTH="120">Stephanie Janczak's</IMG></A> focus at <A HREF="https://www.ford.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ford</A> is to develop corporate environmental sustainability strategies and work with skill teams to develop plans to achieve those aspirational goals.  In her previous role, she developed and implemented new technologies, business models and partnerships to support and ensure the success of Ford’s Global Electrified Vehicle plans including Residential Programs, Public and Employee Station Installations and Data Analytics. Stephanie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
Prior to this role, Stephanie has held a variety of leadership positions during her career with Ford, which began in 1988. This includes positions pertaining to Safety Policy, Driver Distraction, Vehicle Compliance, Production Vehicle Safety and Compliance, and Crash Safety Development and Testing.
 
Zach Henkin, Deputy Director, Forth

Zach leads Forth’s mobility programs bringing together collaborators and stakeholders to design and lead clean transportation projects. Zach has an MBA from Marylhurst University.
 
 
 
Registration is $15.00 for Forth members and $25 for the general public. Registration includes hors d'oeuvres, and local wine and beer.
