Avenue 50 Studio is an arts presentation organization grounded in Latina/o culture, visual arts, and the Northeast Los Angeles Community that seeks to bridge cultures through artistic expressions, using content-driven art to educate and to stimulate intercultural understanding.

Un recurso mensual de talleres (bilingües) dedicados a brindar acceso a las herramientas y conocimientos que NUESTROS miembros de la comunidad necesitan; capacitándonos para lograr cambios en nuestros barrios y en NUESTROS propios términos. Este año, como cada año, es el momento para que juntos podamos, #aprender #construir #resistir & crear comunidades más fuertes.

Mayo 20 - La EDUCACIÓN POPULAR se centra en considerar a todas las personas como esenciales para el movimiento hacia la liberación, sin importar su educación o riqueza. Inspirado en "La Pedagogía de los Oprimidos" de Paulo Freire, este taller proporcionará herramientas para que las personas aprendan mutuamente y reflexionen sobre los temas que afectan a Highland Park. Mediante la reflexión colectiva, podemos emprender acciones colectivas para así construir una comunidad más equitativa.

POPULAR EDUCATION focuses on seeing all people, regardless of education or wealth, as essential to the movement towards liberation. Inspired by Paulo Freire’s Pedagogy of the Oppressed, this workshop will provide the tools for people to learn from one another and reflect on the issues impacting Highland Park. Through collective reflection, we can take collective action to build a more equitable community.
