Support A+ Schools and celebrate the work of parents, students, teachers and community activists whose hard work is helping to improve Pittsburgh's public schools. The third annual Changemakers Celebration will feature live music, activities, light food & beverage, and a great crowd of Pittsburghers working for excellent public schools. Join us as we celebrate in style with Pittsburgh's education movers and shakers on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 7-10pm at the Lexus Club in the Consol Energy Center.
This year, our School Leader Honoree will be:
Dr. Linda Lane - Superintendent of Pittsburgh Public Schools (PPS)
Dr. Lane, who will conclude her service to PPS on June 30, has served as Superintendent for the past five years. She has led the district with distinction, making tough decisions about budgets, pushing forward progressive teacher quality reforms, and building bridges to parents, students, community and Harrisburg. The results of her leadership are clear – more of our students are graduating, eligible for the Pittsburgh Promise and pursuing post-secondary education and job training.
Please help A+ Schools celebrate this extraordinary Pittsburgh leader and the students, teachers, parents, and community members who are making a difference on June 23.
Thank you to our generous sponsors for their support.
