How to get there


Nine finalists, selected out of 56 applicants, will present their big ideas for social change in Howard County at the Changemaker Challenge live event - and you can be there to see it. The prize money will total $60,000; one $25,000, one $15,000 and two $10,000 awards. One prize will be awarded to a project serving people with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m.

Hosted by the Horizon Foundation and United Way of Central Maryland, the Changemaker Challenge is an event focused on sparking innovation and fresh thinking to address some of Howard County’s most pressing issues. The event, taking place on Veterans Day, will feature a presentation of the colors by the Atholton High School Color Guard.
