"Few technologies have inspired as much chatter as blockchain. Some see in it a means to dramatically transform the world for the better. Others say it is way over-hyped and might even be a tool of oppression. Like any tech, much will depend on how it is used. In this opening talk for Chainwork Fridays, Tom Lyons discusses his four years in the Swiss blockchain space. Along the way he'll share some of his experiences with the idealists and pragmatists of blockchain, talk about helping to build Crypto Valley, and look at about some utopian and dystopian visions of the blockchain-enabled future.
