We are a branch of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA), the premier non-profit literacy organization dedicated to the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based, quantitative research in literacy instruction.We are an active and passionate board who strives to meet our community’s needs in understanding dyslexia and the appropriate instruction in Structured Literacy and accommodationsallstruggling readers need in order to acquire the literacy skills to become successful and productive members of society.  Structured Literacy is the most effective way to teach reading, improving the literacy outcomes of all learners, and is crucial for the up to 1 in 5 learners with dyslexia and other language-based disorders.

Chagrin Falls Intermediate Elementary School

How does it feel to be an individual with dyslexia? Through a series of simulations, participants will experience the challenges individuals with dyslexia confront when performing language-related tasks. This hands-on workshop is designed to improve understanding and encourage the use of effective teaching techniques and accommodations.

This is a worthwhile public event for families and professionals who interact with dyslexics. Space is limited for reserved seating. RSVP your spot today!
