This will be a two-day, in-person refresher course that will prepapre you for the CPP Exam which will take place on Tuesday, October 8th from 8a-12p at 49 Mount Carmel Rd, Asheville. Location(s) for the training will vary based on availability of outdoor teaching spaces and nursery/garden center availability. More details about where and when we will meet for the plant uptake will be provided one week before the start of the training.

This intensive refresher course is geared towards those who are ready to take the CPP exam and have had previous plant ID courses and individual preparation prior to the course is expected as we will not have much time for practice quizzes, etc.

Tentative Agenda

Sunday, October 6th

  • 8:30a: meet at Plant Professional Garden at the NC Arboretum
  • 9a-12p: Plant ID and Uptake
  • 12-1p: Lunch (on your own)
  • 1-4p: Plant ID and Uptake

Monday, October 7th

  • Hold for ID at local garden center/nursery

Tuesday, October 8th

  • CPP Exam at Buncombe County Extension Office, 49 Mount Carmel Rd., Asheville
  • 8a: Registration Open
  • 8:30-12:30p: CPP Exam (Plant ID and written will be offered)
