Healthy Capital District is offering courses for provisional certification for the role of Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA)! W e support you through the entire process and are dedicated to your success!! Unlike other programs, we provide THREE MONTHS of support after course completion! From completing foundational training to submitting a completed application, we are here for you!

Upon receiving your CRPA-P, you are immediately Medicaid-billable through an OASAS-licensed entity!


T o qualify for CRPA certification you must:

  • Have history of a substance use disorder, be someone who has personal or family experience with substance use disorder (SUD), and/or who is passionate about supporting someone in their recovery from a SUD
  • Be willing to share your recovery from that condition/event (if applicable)
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent


After submitting your interest, you will be contacted regarding potential scholarship options. Registration via Eventbrite does not guarantee a seat. Classes are kept small and registrants are required to respond to outreach and confirm participation.

Katrina Fox is approved by ASAP-NYCB to deliver this training towards professional certification as a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) and/or Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC)


CRPA-P Course Schedule: Classes start Septmeber 16, 2024 and conclude September 26, 2024, 9am-4pm. Classes are held on every day, Monday-Friday. Classes from July 16-20 focus on the Recovery Coach Academy; Sept 23rd class focuses on Medication Supported Recovery; and classes from Sept 24th-Sept 26th focus on Ethics. Sept 27th focuses on Professional Practices.

What is the cost?

Healthy Capital District and its partners will work to cover the cost of this program with scholarships. If you wish to pay without any financial assistance, the course costs $3,000 per participant.

Do I need to bring a lunch?

Yes! We recommend you bring a lunch to class each day; however, we will offer coffee and tea in the morning to get you going!
