Healthy Capital District is offering courses for provisional certification for the role of Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA)! W e support you through the entire process and are dedicated to your success!! Unlike other programs, we provide THREE MONTHS of support after course completion! From completing foundational training to submitting a completed application, we are here for you!

Upon receiving your CRPA-P, you are immediately Medicaid-billable through an OASAS-licensed entity!

T o qualify for CRPA certification you must:

  • Have history of a substance use disorder, be someone who has personal or family experience with substance use disorder (SUD), and/or who is passionate about supporting someone in their recovery from a SUD
  • Be willing to share your recovery from that condition/event (if applicable)
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent

After submitting your interest, you will be contacted regarding potential scholarship options. Registration via Eventbrite does not guarantee a seat. Classes are kept small and registrants are required to respond to outreach and confirm participation.

CRPA-P Course Schedule: Classes start June 8 2026 and conclude June 18, 2026, 9am-4pm. Classes are held on every day, Monday-Friday. Classes from June 8-12 focus on the Recovery Coach Academy; June 15 class focuses on Medication Supported Recovery; and classes from June 16-18 focus on Ethics.
