About this event

  • 1 hour

Join us on the first Thursday of the month for a big bowl of your favorite childhood cereal and a conversation with a Nashville entrepreneur. Learn from someone who's been there and done that - hear their story and learn from their mistakes. Our featured serial entrepreneur this month is Tonya Lewis.

Tonya, a Nashville native with degrees in Psychology and Human Development from Vanderbilt University, started her career as a school counselor. But in 2013, she and her husband Chris delved into entrepreneurship, co-founding the beloved Post East Cafe. After its closure, Tonya launched NuSachi, a vertically integrated hemp company with fellow entrepreneur Mark Montgomery. After serving as the CEO, CMO, and CRO, Tonya transitioned out of the company in 2021 to pursue other endeavors.

In October of 2023, Tonya received the Equity in Conservation grant from the Natural Resource Conservation Service, an agency of the USDA, to establish the Wonderful People Microfarm. a regenerative farm and educational center in Goodlettsville, TN that focuses on teaching people from underserved communities about conservation of natural resources and the fundamentals of growing food. This will serve as Tonya’s legacy project and continued demonstrated commitment to the betterment of her community.

Parking: Parking is available in the red brick parking garage located behind the trolley barns (entrance on Lea Avenue); please bring your ticket inside for validation.
