About Our Speaker

Austin Wright currently serves as the Chief Communications Officer for the Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) operator of the Tucson International Airport (TUS) and Ryan Airfield (RYN). In his role he leads the Air Service Development, Marketing, and Communications teams. In addition, he serves as an airline and legislative liaison in his role. Prior to joining the TAA, he spent 12 years at Southwest Airlines serving multiple senior management roles, including leading nearly 1200 Customer Service and Operations employees at their largest hub in Chicago, IL (MDW). In addition, he served as the General Manager for their operations in Tucson, AZ (TUS) and Pittsburgh, PA (PIT).

Wright is actively involved in the community serving on the Board of Directors for Visit Tucson, and a participant in the tourism subcommittee for the Arizona Lodging and Tourism Association (AZLTA).

In his free time, he serves on his local communities HOA Board of Directors and enjoys international travel.
