Detroit HBCU Network is proud to partner with Autumn Sun on this two day intensive for students interested in improving their performance skills and learning what it takes to audition and excel in both a collegiate and professional career!
Ages 11-18
All Skill Levels Welcome!
July 31st (9am - 5pm)
Led by instructors Shelbie Newman (Jackson State), Mya Matthews (Grambling State), and Kayla King (Texas Southern), attending students will learn the fundamentals to performing at the highest level.
Participating in various exercises focusing on proper preparation, exploring the unique presentation style of each school, team building and more!
August 1st (9am - 5pm)
Picking up the pace, students will get the opportunity to utilize the lessons learned during our mock audition. A simulation allowing students to experience the real time process of collegiate and professional auditions.
Closing out the camp will be our college preparedness segment, the Campus Culture symposium. Students will participate in an Q/A with the camp instructors, and special guests, discussing the academic, life, and emotional skills needed to succeed in higher education.
