DescriptionThe 2012-2016 Census Transportation Planning Products - CTPP (based on 2012-2016 American Community Survey - ACS data) are available, and free training is being provided for accessing and using the data. This training is designed for anyone who works on long-range planning, congestion management, travel forecasting, air quality analysis, demographics, and GIS. It is appropriate for consultants and students as well.CTPP training sessions are one and a half days of hands-on computer training. You maybring your own laptop to participate in the training, but desk top computers will also be available at the new location.Participants will:- engage in discussion;- practice analytical skill through exercises;- learn to navigate the CTPP software; and- leave with a better understanding of available transportation dataSubjects covered:1. Understanding and dealing with data issues2. Transportation data and how to get it3. What kind of data is collected and how it is acquired4. Census and CTPP geography5. CTPP data access softwareThe training will be 1.5 days 8:30am-4:30pm Monday Nov 18 and 8:30am-12:30pm Tuesday Nov 19. You may bring your own laptop to participate in the training, but desk top computers will also be available at the new location.
