Come challenge yourself in the inaugural Kings Gap Highland Games, which will crown both a male and female champion in each event!

Kings Gap Environmental Education Center

J﻿oin the Friends of Kings Gap for the inaugural Kings Gap Highland Games, as part of the Summer Celtic Celebration! To watch the games, there is no need to purchase tickets. Tickets are only for those wishing to learn and compete in the games. This event is meant for novice throwers.T﻿he Highland Games Academy out of Gettysburg will provide a training session in the Caber Toss, Weight for Distance, and Stone Put beginning at 7:30 AM on 3 September at Kings Gap State Park. Based on the participants performance on the training session, 8 competitors will be selected to compete in each discipline. At least two females, will compete in each event. The age limit has been set at 16 years of age and older. For High School Track and Field Throwers, this will provide a unique summer training and competition venue to advance your skills in a new way. For people of all ages, simply joining the training session allows you to challenge yourself in feats of strength you never thought possible, while also joining the elite ranks of the Caber Club! The sense of accomplishment by simply tossing your first caber or putting your first stone is an extraordinary feeling, which will boost your self-confidence.
