Celebrating Cindy
Over 37 years ago, Ms. Angela's mother, Gail Parker opened The Montessori Schoolhouse doors to serve children and families in Springfield and its surrounding areas. Space was rented in a house not far from our current locaton. At that time, Gail's only teaching assistant was Ms. Cindy Feiden. Cindy had a toddler named Annie, and was interested in providing her a Montessori education. Gail was an AMS trained educator of both children and Montessori teachers with decades of experience running her own and other schools. With the assistance of Cindy, the foundation of The Montessori Schoolhouse was formed, and remains a premier early education program to this day.
Ms. Cindy is a beloved mother, wife, teacher, artist, colleague, and friend. She has touched hundreds of lives and helped develop young minds through her thoughtful, graceful teaching and brilliant artistic mind. She is ready to retire and enjoy some years of leisure, travel, and fun with her husband Joe. We can hardly imagine our school without her constant, steady presence, but it is our pleasure to honor and celebrate her accomplishments.
Please join us in celebrating with an open house to share memories, laughter, tears, joy, congratulations, and bid fare thee well to our beloved Ms. Cindy.
