Collidoscope: de la Torre Brothers Retro-Perspective showcases the boisterous, colorful work of Einar and Jamex de la Torre, an artistic duo working collaboratively since the 1990s. On view in the Contemporary Art + Design Galleries beginning May 18, 2024, Collidoscope encompasses nearly three decades of work in 40 mixed-media glass sculptures—exuberant works that incorporate hot-glass elements, lenticular prints, resin, and a wide variety of carefully selected found objects offering a unique perspective on Mexican American culture, combining humor with critical commentary on art, history, religion, and politics into a veritable feast for the senses.
Collidoscope is part of a traveling exhibition organized by The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture of the Riverside Art Museum (“The Cheech”) and was curated by Selene Preciado. Support for the national tour was generously provided by the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Latino.
The Corning Museum of Glass is a not-for-profit museum dedicated to exploring a single material: glass. The Museum is home to the world’s most comprehensive collection of glass, the world’s foremost library on glass, and The Studio, one of the top glassworking schools in the world.

Sure, although you're missing out on a good time. If you only want to come to the exhibition opening and arrive late, you can. The opening is free for members to attend and you'll get a drink ticket at check-in. Don't come early, though. We'll all be enjoying our conversation with the Brothers!
Nope! Not-yet-members can only buy a combo ticket for the evening. You wouldn't want to miss out on hearing the artists and seeing their work, though. Best of both worlds for just $35.
