About this event

  • 5 hours

Celebrate Music City is a 3-part, weekly, family-friendly festival series that showcases and embraces the diversity of our city's music scene and communities. This event will be outdoors on a beautiful green space close to downtown Nashville at New Heights Brewery.

Thursday, June 6th will showcase Nashville’s Latinx Music Community which is an underrepresented genre in Nashville, despite having many high-caliber musicians! This music scene is growing, and we want to help make it thrive! This lineup was curated in partnership with MUSICANA, Nashville’s premiere music & culture collective highlighting works by Latin-American creators

If you've never had the opportunity to see live Latinx music before... change that by coming to our FREE concert! This music is amazing to hear and see live. The music is vibrant, fun, and very rhythmic. Plus, some of the music will be sung in Spanish, which is very beautiful and definitely worth experiencing!

The festival is free and open to the general public. Each event will encourage dancing, cultural learning experiences, relaxing and soaking up the good vibes in the green space, and of course amazing live music! We are also curating local retail and food vendors to support the diversity of Nashville’s local businesses which is important to our communities! Be sure to come hungry, Delicias Colombianas RR food truck will be onsite serving up tasty food!

We believe music can bridge different communities together to build a more equitable and inclusive Nashville. That's why each Celebrate Music City festival day is themed by genre, including Latinx Music with a salsa dance lesson, Urban Music with hip hop dance lesson, and Americana Music with a country swing dance lesson.

Music Neighbors, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, believes that supporting and sustaining Nashville’s local music ecosystem is vital to Music City’s identity and culture. That's why we've allied with underrepresented music artists and organizations to curate this amazing festival series to celebrate all the sounds and vibrant culture of Nashville!

This series is made possible with funding from:

Tennessee Arts Commission and the Robert K. and Anne H. Zelle Fund for Fine and Performing Arts of Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee

Special thanks to New Heights Brewing and MUSICANA for partnering with us for this event and letting us take over your amazing green space for this outdoor festival series!
