The CCPS FACE office is providing resources and specialists to assist families as they navigate the college application process.

The CCPS Office of Family and Community Engagement (FACE) is partnering with Chesterfield County Public Libraries to provide free College Application Assistance Programs (CAAP) for families preparing for graduation in Spring 2022. CCPS CAAP is a series of webinars, Face-to-Face opportunities, and resources to assist families during the transition from high school into college. Sessions will be both virtual and held in person on the following Saturdays between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at the Chesterfield County Central Library Branch: 
<ul><li>September 11, 2021</li><li>October 23, 2022</li><li>November 13, 2021</li></ul>Sessions will provide families of CCPS students assistance with questions like: <ul><li>What are reach schools, competitive schools, and safety schools? </li><li>What are the Common App and the Coalition App? </li><li>What is the difference between Early Action, Early Decision, Rolling Admission, and Open Admission? </li><li>Hints and Tips for Admission Essay Writing. </li><li>How to Secure Letters of Recommendation.</li><li>College Resume Building: Academic + Extracurricular Activities.</li></ul>Representatives from GRASP will be on hand to discuss financing options including scholarships. This is a free “drop-in” event no appointments are necessary however registration is required to attend.
