The Construction Climate Challenge &amp; Volvo Group Connected Solutions presents:On Dec 7-8 we&#x27;re bringing together multidisciplinary teams in Silicon Valley to innovate and simplify CO2 impact assessment for the construction industry with an innovative digital tool.Participation is free and we’re looking for engineers, developers, and designers with a passion for climate change and hacking. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSWhat happens after I apply? All registered candidates will be sent an email on or before November 29, 2019. This email will indicate whether or not that person’s team has been selected for participation. Selected teams will also be sent further participation instructions. If you have registered for the event and have not received an email by November 30, 2019, please reach out to us at support.siliconvalley@volvo.com.Can I apply without a team? We encourage you to reach out to your own network to assemble a team for this event. If you prefer to compete as an individual, you can register as a team of only one (1) person. Unfortunately, we are unable to match individual participants and form teams. Any changes to team rosters should be made prior to November 29, 2019. Last minute or emergency changes are at the sole discretion of Volvo. To find like-minded team mates, you can also use the <a href="https://cccxhacksprint.slack.com/x-p834147651846-834158426342-820546398563/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">CCCxHackSprint Slack Channel</a>Can I apply if I&#x27;m not in Mountain View? Anyone who is legally and physically present in the U.S. is encouraged to apply to participate (please see <a href="https://constructionclimatechallenge.com/ccc-x-hack-sprint-2019-terms-conditions/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Terms &amp; Conditions</a> for more information.) However, it is up to each participant to arrange for their own transportation as well as local accommodations.I’m not a technical person, can I apply anyway? Of course! We believe in diverse and multidisciplinary teams. Put together your dream team and apply!Will I be reimbursed for travel and lodging? Unfortunately we won’t be able to reimburse you for travel and lodging but we will make sure that you get all the sustenance you need throughout the whole hackathon completely free of charge! Participating teams will be notified of our recommended hotels with special rates nearby.Are there any technical requirements? This is a “technology neutral” hackathon, and teams are encouraged to use whatever tools, including software tools and development environments, they find the most useful. We will provide some useful information that can be incorporated into a number of development environments. We encourage groups to use github for software collaboration.Are there ID or minimum age requirements to apply?
