CBPR Partnership Development Networking Event

CBPR Partnership Development Networking Event

Overview

This in-person event brings community members, organizations, researchers, faculty, and students together to build meaningful connections.

The CBPR Partnership Development Networking Event is an in-person gathering designed to bring community members, organizations, researchers, faculty, doctoral students, and other partners together to build meaningful connections and explore opportunities for collaboration.

Hosted at Morgan CARES, this interactive networking event will focus on strengthening community-campus partnerships that can support Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR), community-engaged scholarship, and locally driven initiatives. Participants will have opportunities to meet potential partners, learn about shared interests and priorities, discuss community needs and research opportunities, and begin identifying areas for mutually beneficial collaboration.

The event is designed to help participants move beyond introductions toward intentional partnership development. Through structured networking and facilitated conversation, attendees will explore how community knowledge, academic expertise, organizational resources, and research interests can be aligned to address issues that matter to Baltimore communities.

Whether you are a community organization seeking academic collaborators, a researcher interested in developing authentic community partnerships, a doctoral student exploring community-engaged research, or a practitioner looking to connect with others working toward similar goals, this event provides a welcoming space to connect, exchange ideas, and begin building partnerships grounded in trust, shared decision-making, and mutual benefit.

Participants will leave with new connections, a stronger understanding of potential partnership opportunities, and practical next steps for continuing conversations beyond the event.
