This pesticide recertification training is designed for licensed pesticide applicators seeking continuing education credits in Categories X, D, and N. The program will focus on practical, real-world pesticide safety, environmental protection, and regulatory updates relevant to agricultural, ornamental, turf, and non-crop settings.

• Participants will receive up-to-date guidance on:

• Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) selection and use

• Reducing applicator, bystander, and environmental exposure risks

• Safe handling, storage, mixing, and application practices

• Interpreting pesticide labels and compliance responsibilities

• Common violations and inspection trends observed in North Carolina
• Best practices to prevent drift, spills, and misapplication

The training will include instructor-led presentations, visual examples, and regulatory insights to help applicators make informed, compliant decisions in the field. Content applies to both private and commercial applicators and emphasizes protecting human health, pollinators, and natural resources while maintaining effective pest management.
