Overview

Join our FREE run/walk event honoring Paul Lansberry & those fighting lung disease. All funds raised support the American Lung Association.

Event Format

Cassidy’s Corral will follow a simple format: runners will complete 2 miles every hour on the hour. A new round begins at the top of each hour, with the first round beginning at 8:00 AM and the final round starting at 4:00 PM. Participants can run, jog, or walk the distance and you are welcome to complete as many rounds as you’d like throughout the day.

Base Camp

Runners will return to a shared base camp area between each round. Participants are encouraged to bring a camp chair, pop up tent, or small personal setup to relax and refuel during the rest period. Cassidy’s Corral will be a self-supported event, so please bring any food, hydration, and gear you’ll need for as long as you wish to participate.

Supporting the Cause

This event is free to participate, but donations are encouraged in support of our American Lung Association fundraiser in memory of Paul. We kindly ask participants to consider donating at least $1 for every mile they complete during the event.

If you have friends or family who would like to support but aren’t able to run or walk, they can also sponsor a participant by pledging an amount per mile completed (for example: $1, $2, or $5 per mile).

You can make your donation here:

https://bealungsaver.funraise.org/fundraiser/cassidy's-corral

T-shirts will also be available for purchase on the day of the event for $25. All proceeds will be donated directly to American Lung Association. Payment forms accepted are Venmo and cash.

Parking

There are two options: a main lot near the start line and the disc golf parking lot, connected by a walking path. If you are able, please use the disc golf parking lot to help keep closer parking available for those who may need it.

Carpooling is encouraged whenever possible.

What to Bring

  • Running shoes and comfortable clothing.
  • Plenty of water, electrolytes, and any nutrition you plan to use.
  • Chair and/or pop-up tent for the base camp area to stay comfortable and out of the sun between rounds.
  • Extra layers, socks, or gear you may want between rounds.

Friends and family are welcome to come support and spend time at the base camp area during the event.
