Come join us for a night of fun, games, and excitement at VFW post 9168: 325 E Valley Ridge Blvd Lewisville, TX. Get ready to test your luck at the tables or show off your poker skills in our tournament. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner, there's something for everyone at this event.

Frequently asked questions

Will we be playing for cash?

No, we will be playing for raffle tickets for prize packages. All prize packages have $250 value or more. The poker tournament has a guaranteed prize for the poker tournament winner.

What is this party about?

This is a fundraiser for Teresa Gaines. She is facing some serious medical problems and does not have the best insurance nor sick days from her job. I have stepped in to support my dear friend to get the medical treatments she needs.

Do I need to know Teresa to come to the party?

No, everyone is welcome to come and have a good time, play games and win prizes. We look forward to meeting new friends.

Is food provided?

We will have a buffet of appetizers available. More food may be purchased from the VFW canteen, but by pre-buying, we should be able to make sure everyone has plenty to eat.

Is there a bar?

There is a full cash bar in the adjacent room provided by the VFW. No outside alcoholic beverages are allowed, so please limit drinks to those purchased at the bar. Some bottles of wine or liquor are going to be given as prizes, please leave those bottles sealed and enjoy them at home.

Can I show up at the door instead of pre-booking?

If there are slots available, you may show up on July 13th. If there are spots that have not been pre-purchased still open, or no-shows we will let you in. However, the best values for your dollar are by pre-purchasing tickets.

I can't come / casinos are not my thing but I want to help

What are the prizes?

We are still getting sponsors for prizes. We already have 2 bundles. Big Dog has dog toys, treats and a gift certificate to a Lewisville Pet shop. The Grillmaster has a grilling tools set, Omaha Steaks Gift certificate and a case of beer. More bundles to come!

How do the prize raffles work?

Many ticket packages also include some raffle tickets. Put them in the bin for the prize you want to win. Each basket has its own raffle. Vegans can opt out of the Grillmaster drawing for instance. Trade winnings for more tickets.
