In this session, David Noymer, CJP’s Interim CFO, and Charlie Glassenberg, CJP’s Vice President of Risk Management and Investment Partnerships, will share their thoughts on managing cash — of any amount — in this turbulent environment. They will discuss banking products, cash management techniques, and share some guidance from financial thought leaders in our community. This session is for organizations of all sizes.

David Noymer served as the Chief Financial Officer of The Greater Boston Food Bank, a role he held for ten and a half years, retiring in early 2020. David came out of retirement in March 2022 to serve as CJP’s Interim CFO. For over 30 years, Noymer served as CFO for multiple service sector companies, including Accounting Management Solutions, Feinstein Kean Healthcare, Information Mapping, and Clinical Data.

Charlie Glassenberg is Vice President, Risk Management and Investment Partnerships at Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP). Charlie’s work includes overseeing CJP’s enterprise risk management program, growing CJP’s Donor Advised Fund (DAF) program, and staffing CJP’s investment oversight and gift acceptance committees. Since joining CJP in 2008, Charlie has helped grow CJP’s philanthropic capital under management from $560 million to over $2.4 billion and has created DAFs with over 400 families and individuals. Prior to joining CJP in 2008, Charlie served in fundraising and development administration roles at Hebrew SeniorLife in Boston and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
