CASA of Central Virginia (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to recruit, train and support volunteer advocates for abused and neglected children in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court system and to educate the community about the needs of these children.

Would you like to make a major impact in the life of a child who needs a chance for a safe and permanent home? Join us for an hour-long video/slide presentation about the role and responsibilities of a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children, and how to become one. There will be time for Q&A by a veteran CASA who'll answer your questions about what to expect in this unique rewarding volunteer role. Applications are being accepted now for Winter2019 training which begins February 7th. Light snacks will be provided. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early as we will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. 
* Please note that because the library does not open until 10am and the information session begins at 9am, you will have to enter through the community room.*
