The Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year and a day of celebration for many communities.

Get ready to spend an evening under the stars with friends in Carmel as you watch community dance performances from 5 - 7:30 in the Coxhall Amphitheatre.

Stay to hear the Carmel Symphony Orchestra perform solar related favorites as the sun goes down from 8:30 - 9:45 pm.

End the evening enjoying the light of the full strawberry moon against the dark evening sky at the beautiful Coxhall Gardens Amphitheatre.


Join conductor Joel Smirnoff and soloists Asako Tamura and former CSO Concerto Competition Winner Cooper Olsen as they perform works by Puccini, Barber, Gershwin, Vivaldi, Carmichael and more, ending with special guest Blair Clark closing out the evening with “You are the Sunshine of My Life”, Stevie Wonder

VIP table purchase are provided with front row seats and help underwrite the costs of Carmel Symphony education programs.

Tables of 8 are available for $1,000 packages and include a surprise bonus gift from the CSO to you!

Or purchase VIP or terrace seating for comfortable seats (with backs) and the best view of the concert.

Lawn seating and youth pricing is available to meet everyone’s budget.


VIP patrons will have access to catering and drinks inside the Coxhall Manor with an open bar until 7:00 and a cash bar throughout the rest of the evening.

  • VIP includes reserved seating, preferred parking, private party in the Coxhall Mansion, 2 drink tickets
  • Terrace Seating will have a chair for you on one of the terraces of the amphitheater.
  • General Admission will give you the opportunity to enjoy the music from one of the beautiful rolling mounds.

What is your refund policy

In the case of rain, the 8:30 pm symphony performance will be moved to Clay Middle School, 5150 E. 126th St, Carmel, IN 46033. We will make every effort to reschedule the community dance performances to another summer date at Coxhall Gardens.

Can I bring children to the event?

Yes, children are welcome in any seats. Dance programming from 5:00 - 7:30 pm is designed to be family friendly. Children can enjoy the full Coxhall Garden's Park throughout the evening. Set up a blanket on the lawn and they can fall asleep as the sun goes doesn during the CSO 8:30 performance.

What food options will be available at the event?

The Summer Solstice concert will feature food trucks from a variety of vendors and drinks by our season sponsors Bier Brewery and Sugar Creek Winery

Can I bring my own food to the event?

Absolutely! Bring a picnic and make the evening your own

Does the lawn / general admission price include chairs? Can we bring our own chairs?

The terrace and tables are the only seats which provide chairs. And yes, you can bring your own chairs.

The CSO plays at 8:30?  How long do they play?

Yes, until 9:45, or maybe a little later. We are trying to stretch out the evening so that the sun goes down at the end of the concert, but it is such a long day that we may have to add a little extra time at the end!

Where is the best place to park for the concert?

Best parking is the area south of mansion; enter off of Towne Road.

How far is the walk from parking to the entrance/seating?

It is approximately a 350 ft walk to the entrance and seating.

Does the VIP Terrace Seating section get you access to the Mansion?

Yes, only VIP tickets (tables and $150 tickets) get access into the Mansion.

Is the concert almost sold out? Can I recommend this concert to my friends?

There are plenty of tickets left, feel free to spread the word to come and join this musical experience.
