Careers and Skills for Data-driven Research (CaSDaR) Hybrid Event Launch

sept. 18, 2025 to sept. 18, 2025
Aperçu

Join us for the launch of CaSDaR where we're providing a platform for sharing progress in establishing UK-wide Data Stewardship initiatives.

As the volume of data continues to grow, so does the critical need for Data Stewards, professionals who ensure data is shareable, reusable, and FAIR-compliant. Yet in the UK, the role of the Data Steward remains under-defined and often under-recognised.

CaSDaR aims to address this gap by helping to define the role of Data Stewards within the UK research landscape and advocating for their recognition and representation across institutions.

This hybrid delivery townhall will present the current landscape of Data Stewardship in the UK, introduce the mission and goals of CaSDaR, gather your input on what support and recognition you need, and we will be launching our first funding call to support Data Stewardship initiatives!

Tickets are available for in-person attendance at the Library of Birmingham (6 Centenary Square, Birmingham, B1 2EP) or for attendance online. (NB: For those attending online Zoom Links will be sent out a week in advance, and the day before the event).
