The Salt Lake City Arts Council and Springboard for the Arts are proud to present the 2025 “Work of Art: Business Skills for Thriving Artists” workshop series.

This hands-on series at Finch Lane Gallery helps early-career artists build sustainable practices with practical tools, guidance, and support. Over three evenings, workshops cover Career Planning, Professional Presentation, and Selling Your Work. For more information, click HERE.

Workshops are free and open to the public, but registration is required for each workshop. Career Planning: Mapping Your Artistic Future

Where do you want to go artistically and professionally? This workshop will guide participants in defining their values, identifying key choices, and developing a roadmap to reach their career goals.

Workshops facilitated by Springboard for the Arts' Career Consultant, Alison Bergblom Johnson, a Minnesota-based artist whose work explores disability and joy. Alison collaborates with community care and arts organizations such as Fresh Eye Gallery, Strike Theater, the Loft Literary Center, Springboard for the Arts, and the Walker Art Center. Alison is an artist-organizer, a disabled artist, an essayist, a collage artist, and a theater artist.

Springboard for the Arts’ Work of Art: Business Skills for Artists series has been taught at arts organizations, arts councils, libraries, and colleges across the United States.
