Welcome to the Career Pathways in STEM Seminar!

Join us for an exciting event where we will explore the latest trends and developments in the field of STEM education research. The seminar will take place on Friday, May 17, 2024.

Our keynote speaker is Dr. Terry Vaughan III. Dr. Dr. Vaughan is a former DePaul University alum and Access and Attainment Mitchem Fellows coordinator. He currently serves as Vice President of Research and Director of the Pell Institute at the Council for Opportunity in Education in D.C.

The seminar will focus on a variety of topics related to student success in STEM fields, including a national perspective on student demographics and experiences, best impact practices, issues of retention, guidance for faculty supporting historically underrepresented groups, and data-driven success metrics of universities. We would like to discuss barriers to success, fostering a sense of belonging, career readiness from the perspective of a minority DPU alumni, and the career-pathway model for out-of-classroom learning and career development.
