About this event

The Carecraft workshops are opportunities to deepen our relationships with various symbols, stories, and experiences in our everyday worlds, making meaning by creatively engaging with them in visual, auditory, or kinesthetic (bodily/tactile/movement-based) ways, and centered in Black/Afro-Indigenous perspectives. This particular series will be focused on Elements (Water/Air/Earth/Fire), with a focus on one element per event:

S eptember: Water

O ctober/N ovember: OFF for Natasha's Maternity Leave :-)

D ecember: Earth

J anuary: OFF

February: Fire

March-May: OFF

June: Air

Participants can bring their own stories and experiences to reflect on with the group, and engage with the Afro-Diasporic perspectives we’ll have some available for us to meditate on as well.

IMPORTANT NOTES: This event is Racially Mixed (meaning it is open for individual ticket purchase by anyone, with discounts available for our Black-only and Patreon communities!).

Also, you do not have to have attended any prior Carecraft workshop in order to attend this one! We'll have a brief recap at the top of each experience for any folks who may have missed others, so you'll be able to fully engage regardless of whether it is or isn't your first Carecraft!

Suggested supplies: paper and writing utensils, as well as space to move as you feel comfortable/led (though movement isn’t required!). You may also wish to spend some time thinking about or collecting favorite media (images, recordings, etc.) that you relate to each event's theme, but that isn’t required either. We’ll meet with folks where they are and co-design our flow together!

REMINDER:

This event will be Racially Mixed, with discount codes for members of our Community Spaces (in fact, this event is FREE for folks in our Black-Only Space), so be sure to check your respective space for a Discount Code (or consider joining us by visiting blackcreativehealing.com/community-spaces) before registering!

When not actively creating or playing with their child, you can find Natasha exploring ancestral concepts of creativity and healing (particularly within African spiritual cosmologies), cooking, gardening, or community building with kin or anyone else willing to join themme. She works with those who are ready to transform.
