What are the rules?

Accepted Answer

You have to try to cook with local ingredients, ecologically with a minimum of emissions, so cooking fuel is also a consideration. There are no winner/loser binaries, everyone is a challenger. Mistakes are 'taxed' where each instance is self-reported and $1 is donated for each to fund Fastfrwrd.

Are we really gonna judge?

Not really, it's more commentary on what we all think we could try, what looks tasty, what seems super efficient, etc.

What about the emissions tax?

Say you have everything perfect for your meal, you're using solar power and an electric stove, you got all the ingredients from a nearby farmer by bicycle... You're doing awesome. But you could only find oil in plastic bottles at the local shop ? you self-report and pay $1 at the end of the event.

What tech do I need?

Accepted Answer

You need a camera that works, headphones so you can hear above any sizzling and a steady net connection for the duration of the hour. Be sure to mute yourself while cooking! You don't have to keep your camera on but you have to show us your ingredients at the beginning and your resulting dish.
