Join us for the Alex Prochaska Memorial Project's 3rd Annual Car Show with a Cause at Hawkeye Downs Speedway! It’s a perfect day for car lovers to gather and admire classic vintage and other amazing rides with trophies for the top 50. Enjoy tasty bites from food trucks and cool off with some ice cream. There will be fun games and door prizes plus a raffle for some great goodies. Come share stories and celebrate the love of cars with friends and family! All cars are welcome! $20 Registration Fee.


Proceeds from this event go towards a scholarship fund at Kirkwood Community College. The scholarship supports hard-working students pursuing a career in the trades.

How much is it to show my car?

It's just $20 to show off your car and be entered to win a variety of amazing trophies!

What time should I be there to get the best spot?

All of our spots are amazing and on the Hawkeye Downs Speedway! Our doors open at 10 AM so anytime between then and noon!

Can I bring my pet?

Yes, pets are allowed, but MUST be kept on a leash. Please be mindful of other people's property when bringing your pet. Pet owners will be held liable for any damage caused.

How much is it to attend without a car?

The event is free to attend for the general public! There are plenty of free things to do as well, including games for kids and looking at the amazing vehicles.

What should I bring?

Bring anything to keep you comfy! We provide free water for free. Consider bringing cash to enjoy some delicious food, buy some raffle tickets, or get your very own funny t-shirt!

Is this event wheelchair accessible?

YES! We want all people to be able to attend this event! We provide a free golf cart ride from your vehicle to the entry of the event. If you need additional accomodations, please let any one of our lovely volunteers know, and we will do our best to help you have the best day!
