<p>Tired of waiting for someone else to save democracy?  Join us this Sunday night as we present the documentary Capturing the Flag. Follow a tight-knit group of friends who  travel to Cumberland County, North Carolina - a “posterchild” for voter suppression - intent on proving that the big idea of American democracy can be defended by small acts of individual citizens. Released in 2018, this riveting documentary still rings true today  -- may be even more so.  After the film screens, Debbie Hart-Klein who is on the Core Team of the political action group,  Indivisible RISE of Newburyport will take the stage to share several ways we can all make a difference before the November 8 mid-term elections.  Debbie Hart-Klein has been involved with social justice issues for years. After retiring from her legal practice, she became involved in the strategic planning of the Women in Action Huddle of Newburyport, and is a board member of the non-profit PEG Center for Art &amp; Activism, in addition to her work on I-RISE.  Note all proceeds will go to Swing Blue Alliance.</p>
