Capturing Dynamic Portraits: Photographing People in Motion

We’ve heard from so many moms who struggle with capturing photos of their little ones who are constantly moving and on the go! As dance photography specialists, we’ve spent years perfecting the art of freezing dancers in motion. In this class, we’re going to use what we’ve learned in the “Mastering Manual” class and apply it to all sorts of people in motion. In addition, we’ll discuss classic lighting examples and which are most slenderizing. We’ll review tips and tricks for evoking the emotions, actions, and poses that are most flattering for your subject.

This class is part of a series. Book the classes that fit your needs--just one or all four!

Please note: We reserve the right to cancel any class without enough participation. This event has been cross posted on other boards.

Frequently asked questions

What should I bring?

A camera with manual settings. Ideally, a lens with zoom range 50-100mm, but bring whatever you have. Be sure your batteries are charged and you have a memory card in your camera!

What level is this class?

Beginner/intermediate. We will briefly review manual settings, but it will be helpful to already have some understanding, since we won't be going into depth. The first class in the series is the best class for that.
