On October 4, 2026, the California Center for Civic Participation (CalCenter) is bringing community partners together at the State Capitol for a Backyard Party celebrating youth voice and civic engagement.
CalCenter’s Backyard Party will bring together over 500 people for an interactive day of activities and community connections, amplifying opportunities to make their voices heard.
What attendees can expect:
- Interactive activities and resource booths connecting youth with organizations and opportunities across California.
- Experience the Megaphone, a testimonial booth where you can share your perspective and your community priorities.
- Music, art, activities, and opportunities to connect with youth and community leaders.
