Candidate Preparedness Program (CPP)

Candidate Preparedness Program (CPP)

Overview

The CPP is intended to develop fitness, discipline, accountability, and professionalism consistent with correctional officer preparation.

The Candidate Preparedness Program (CPP) provides candidates with an opportunity to experience a structured fitness session designed to help prepare them for the physical demands of the Academy.

Workouts are suitable for all fitness levels and may include calisthenics, running progressions, kettlebell and carry-based exercises, obstacle course activities, strength training, and mobility work. Instruction is provided throughout the session, with an emphasis on proper technique, injury prevention, and safety.

The goal of the program is to build confidence, improve fitness, and provide candidates with a better understanding of the physical training they may encounter during the Academy.
