Prospect Park Alliance and Brooklyn Public Library present Campfire Conversations, a series of themed community conversations set around an outdoor campfire at the Lefferts Historic House, complete with music and refreshments.

Saturday, September 9, 6:30–7:30 pm
Kid's Campfire Conversations: Being Brave

Join Prospect Park Alliance and the Brooklyn Public Library for this campfire conversation for kids! The new school year brings new friends, new teachers and maybe a new school. Join us around the campfire for a conversation about conquering fears, building confidence and taking on new challenges. This event will be monitored by Tammy Hall and will feature music by Lucy Kalantari (of Lucy and the Jazz Cats!).


Saturday, October 14, 6:30–7:30 pm
Campfire Conversations: Wisdom and Age

Join Prospect Park Alliance and Brooklyn Public Library around the campfire for an open dialogue about the treatment and inclusion of elders in contemporary society and how wisdom and knowledge is transmitted across generations. Facilitated by Sonia Sanchez, renowned writer, poet, professor, playwright and activist.
