Camp SoulGrow will be chartering an offshore fishing boat out of Buras, LA that can hold up to 21 passengers. Parents are welcome to join; but must get their own ticket.
On Sunday, May 19 at 6am we will meet at Delta Marina in Buras, LA, and board f/v COUGAR and head (about 20 miles offshore) to go snapper fishing! We will return about 4:00pm. Parents are encouraged to carpool.
Yes, there is a bathroom on board. And the cabin is air-conditoned.
Yes, there will be Camp SoulGrow staff, volunteers, and fishing professionals on board so kids can come without a parent.
Yes, you should bring your own lunch, snacks, water, etc. Camp SoulGrow will have some fun treats; but please bring a real lunch. Sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a sweatshirt, a raincoat, etc. should all be packed.
The captain will clean the fish and you will keep what you catch.
We are really looking forward to this memorable day on the water together!
