Goodbye, Camp Rick's Place – you'll be missed! But fear not, as we're gearing up for an exhilarating summer filled with brand-new programs in 2025! As we bid adieu to our beloved camp in 2024, we're offering free sponsored spots for every camper one last unforgettable summer. Get ready to dive into excitement like never before!

Camp Rick’s Place is for young explorers looking for a summer filled with outdoor adventure. The week-long Summer Camp at The Rick Herrema Foundation (RHF|Rick's Place) will have campers collaborate with their peers in games, arts, and outdoor skills to become ultimate adventures.

At Rick’s Place, we believe life happens when fun meets community. The camp counselors and activities at Camp Rick’s Place are focused on fostering the heart of your children to keep them curious about the world around them and immersed in a positive community. Our goal is to host a space where campers are excited to bring their interests, ideas, and experiences to exchange with their fellow campers.

Each day of camp is packed with hands-on activities that will keep campers absorbed in fun and connected with nature. Camps will take place mainly outdoors to give campers exclusive access to engage the RHF property in new and exciting ways. Indoor activities and lunchtime will take place in the community barn. Some games campers will play include Nerf wars, water-focused activities, and scavenger hunts. Campers will also be learning the basics of land navigation, fire starting, and how to protect and respect natural wildlife.

In addition to fast-paced activities, Camp Rick’s Place offers arts and crafts throughout the week. Campers will work with materials like paints, clay, and crayons to make personalized masterpieces to take home each week.

Two times a day, campers will have snacks provided by RHF. Each snack will include a fruit or vegetable and a side such as chips, popsicles, or granola bars. Lunch can be purchased per camper from RHF in addition to the tuition cost, or campers can pack and bring their lunches from home.

Children between the ages of 8 and 14 years old are welcome. Age restrictions are strict to ensure campers can receive equal instruction from camp counselors.

The Rick Herrema Foundation is a 50-acre greenspace for Military Families. Camp Rick’s Place is hosted on RHF property.

Camp is Monday - Friday, 9 am - 4 pm each day. Each week is the same curriculum, but the campers' experience will be unique each week due to Camp Rick’s Place counselors and other campers.
