For decades, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory has invited the public “behind the scenes” to see the latest JPL-developed technologies and space missions studying Earth, our solar system, interstellar space and even planets around other stars. The weekend event has continued to attract record numbers of visitors to JPL’s campus at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains.

About the event:

It’s a two-day event where people of all ages can experience space exploration up close and personal (and meet some pretty cool scientists and engineers).

Free parking.

Each person MUST have a ticket in hand to attend except children 2 years of age and younger.
The maximum number of tickets per group is five.
Those 18 and over must have a valid government issued ID that matches the name on their ticket.
To reduce congestion, there is a designated time for your arrival. See map in the FAQ link below to see the entrance at 4800 Oak Grove Drive, Pasadena, 91109.
Tickets are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for monetary value.

What can I/ should I bring to JPL?

A printed/electronic ticket per person
A valid ID (18 and older)
Cameras and mobile phone devices
Enthusiasm matched by patience
Small handbags or backpacks
Strollers and wheelchairs as needed
Sunscreen, hats and comfortable shoes for walking
Water and small snacks (food vendors will be on site)
Professional cameras will be inspected prior to entry

What can I NOT bring to JPL?

Pets (except certified service animals)
Alcohol, Cannabis (marijuana) or any kind of illegal drugs
Awnings, tents, hard-sided coolers or other bulky items
Banners, signs, flags, laser pointers, firecrackers/fireworks, boom boxes, air horns, whistles or musical instruments
Bicycles, tricycles, Segways, and skateboards
Glass containers and ice chests
Walkie-talkies, Unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) or other remote control devices
Weapons of any kind including firearms (no exceptions) or knives of any shape or size
Professional camera equipment, i.e., detachable telephoto lenses
