Event description

Description

Do you ever feel a bit scattered or stressed? Or perhaps really want to hit the pause button and catch your breath?

Join us for a slow and mindful movement combined with a long, deep guided meditation informed by iRest® yoga nidra.

Yoga nidra is mind-body training to promote healing and resiliency. Benefits include reduced PTSD, insomnia, anxiety, chronic pain, depression and chemical dependency. It's deeply restorative and beneficial to anyone looking for a practice to foster calm and relaxation.

Open to all--if you're curious about meditation, new to yoga nidra or just want to ground and settle, you're welcome!

What to bring: if you have a mat and blanket please bring it along. We will have some mats and blankets to share too.

About the teachers:

Dr. Antonella Aguilera-Ruiz, ND is a naturopathic doctor and graduate of the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR. She focuses on uncovering the root cause of disease rather than just treating symptoms. By looking at the whole person and using diet, exercise, lifestyle medicine, herbs, nutrition, homeopathy, and mindfulness, she works to empower people to reverse chronic disease and create better health. Her practice, Wild Lemon Health, is located in Sacramento, CA.

Dolly Ruiz is a 200 hour RYT who is trained in Kundalini yoga and somatic yoga therapy. She is also a iRest® teacher-in-training Level I and her teaching is informed by the teachings of Richard Miller and the Integrative Restoration Institute.
