Girls in Tech(GIT) is a global non-profit focused on the engagement, education and empowerment of girls and women who are passionate about technology. Adriana Gascoigne founded GIT in 2007 to create a support framework to help women advance their careers in STEM fields.Today, GIT aims to accelerate the growth of innovative women entering into the high-tech industry and building startups. We achieve this through the creation of proprietary, innovative programming and strategic global partnerships.With headquarters in San Francisco and more than 100,000 members located around the globe, GIT relies on volunteer efforts to lead each of the 60 local chapters. Programming and events vary by chapter based on local interests and needs.GIT is not just for professional women. We exist for anyone with an interest in technology, startups and providing women with a platform for growth. <H3>EVENIMENTUL CALL FOR CODE DAY BUCHAREST</H3>
<A HREF="https://www.ibm.com/ro-ro/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">IBM Romania</A> în parteneriat cu <A HREF="https://www.girlswhocode.ro" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Girls Who Code Romania</A> și <A HREF="https://romania.girlsintech.org" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Girls in Tech Romania</A> sprijină competiția globală Call for Code și organizează Call for Code Day Bucharest care va avea loc pe 21 Septembrie 2018. 
Ce trebuie să faci:

Înscrie-te la Evenimentul Call for Code Day Bucharest aici, pe Eventbrite;

Înscrie-te în Competiția Call for Code aici: <A HREF="https://callforcode.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://callforcode.org</A>. Cine poate participa: frontend devs, backend devs, mobile devs, designers, business people, testers, IT professionals. O echipă de succes pentru Call for Code are un echilibru între abilități, nu este necesar ca toți membrii echipei să fie developers. Oricine poate să vină cu o idee este binevenit. Dimensiunea recomandată a echipei: 5 membri. Fiecare echipă ar trebui să aibă cel puțin un dezvoltator.

După ce te-ai înscris la Evenimentul Call for Code Day Bucharest, vei primi un link de conectare la platforma Slack unde vei putea consulta online experții IBM, cu privire la competiția Call for Code și soluția pe care dorești să o dezvolți;

După ce te-ai înscris la Competiția Call for Code, asigură-te că acorzi niște timp trainingului aprofundat, specific și gratuit, cu privire la Use Cases și Code Patterns pe care le poți implementa în IBM Cloud: <A HREF="https://developer.ibm.com/callforcode" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">developer.ibm.com/callforcode</A>. Vei găsi informații despre AI, Cloud, IoT și Blockchain, care te vor ajuta să-ți consolidezi cunoștințele și te vor pregăti pentru Call for Code Day Bucharest. Call for Code este un mod excelent de a dobândi noi aptitudini dezvoltând o soluție pentru una dintre cele mai mari probleme ale omenirii.

<H3>COMPETIȚIA CALL FOR CODE</H3>
Competiția Call for Code este cea mai mare provocare globală lansată de UN Human Rights office și The American Red Cross în parteneriat cu IBM. Scopul acesteia este de a îmbunătăți gradul de pregătire și răspuns în situațiile provocate de dezastre naturale.
În fiecare zi, dezastrele naturale afectează în medie 80 000 de persoane, aducând economiei globale un deficit de 270 milioane dolari. Cum ar fi dacă tehnologia ar contribui la reducerea acestor cifre? Pornind de la această întrebare a fost creată inițiativa Call for Code care face apel la dezvoltatorii din toată lumea să utilizeze tehnologii precum AI, Blockchain, Cloud, Data și IoT pentru a eficientiza pregătirea și rezistența comunităților în situațiile provocate de dezastrele naturale.
Call for Code este o competiție total diferită de orice alt hackathon. Câștigătorii vor lucra îndeaproape cu American Red Cross și IBM Corporate Service Corps pentru ca în 2019 să-și implementeze soluția creată.
Printre premiile competiției menționăm:
