California Wine Dinner ft. Chef Justin Wotring (COLO)

Join us for a multi-course celebration of some of the best food and drink that our great nation has to offer. On June 28th, we’re throwing down on RRSC’s Annual California Wine Dinner. And it's another kitchen takeover with our good pal Chef Justin Wotring of Coastal Local!

As you well know, California has historically been considered a land of plenty. Lore of gold and the beauty of the Pacific Coast has beckoned to folks well outside of the U.S. And because of said coastal proximity, seemingly endless mountain ranges, and the inherent size of the great state, many different micro-climates take shape. Combine all that with rich and diverse soils + just the right longitudinal coordinates and what do you get?

For one, you get Chef Justin Wotring back at the helm in our beloved kitchen & flexing his formidable know-how yet again! If you’ve been through for one of his dinners recently, you already know the score. This dinner sees its sights set on a multi-course celebration of agricultural abundance and the culinary contributions that our second largest state has to offer.

And the cherry on top is California vino. We’re almost burying the headline considering it’s the same great state that brought US wine to prominence via Chateau Montelena v France circa the 70’s. But with that momentum, California has since established a foothold as one of the world’s greatest producers, from Napa to Sonoma and in between plus outside, of fine wine made from a range of varietals and mostly informed-if-not-grafted from the best and well-known international wine producing regions you can rattle off.

So in the grand tradition of attempting perfect pairings AND just a week before Our National Holiday, let’s all celebrate some of the best we have to offer. What's going down is a luckily sovereign talent with a worldly intuition for fine dining done right elevated by the best producers, both classic and progressive.
