Come and enjoy Christian Bruun&#x27;s magnificent documentary &quot;Calendar Girl&quot;. Which examines the establishment of the New York Fashion Week Calendar created by Ruth Finley. A trail blazer who took her work as seriously as she did motherhood. Divorced in the 50&#x27;s and a single mother by the 60&#x27;s, the social structure of American cutlure was not on her side but she didn&#x27;t allow any of that to effect her, her work, or her family. &quot;Calendar Girl&quot; is a triumph of the will!After the film hear from fashion week journalist and author, Jenny B. Davis and the Director of the Texas Fashion Collection, Annette Becker. Afterward stay for a drink and meet our speakers and your fellow fashion enthusiasts from all around DFW!As Ruth always printed the Fashion Calendar in shades of pink, all attendees are requested to wear a pop of pink to the event in honor of Ruth&#x27;s memory. Fundraising proceeds from the screening will directly benefit the Texas Fashion Collection at the University of North Texas. Doors open at 6:30pm and the film will begin at 7pm. After the film Jenny B. Davis and Annette Becker will speak and the rest of the evening is dedicated to networking and connecting with other fashionphiles. This event is proudly presented in part by El Centro&#x27;s student organization, Future of Fashion.
